Searching your characters

Open the search window

• Click the magnifier in your bags' search box.
• Click the Alt Inventory button on the minimap (it's also in the minimap's addon list).
• Type /altinv search, or /altinv find potion to open it already searching for "potion".

Search

Type part of an item's name. Every match across all your characters is listed, with a count per character and per place.

• Filter by character to see only what one character holds.
• Filter by place: Bags, Bank, Mail, Warband Bank, or Currencies to search currencies instead of items.
• Sort by name or by total.
• Shift-click a result to link it in chat.
• Type a number to search by item ID.
• Drop an item on the search box to search for exactly that item.

The Warband Bank filter only shows on game versions that have a Warband Bank. See Game versions.
